Eleanor Tinsley Park + Cross Processed Velvia. Before I go on to explain the story behind today's and yesterday's picture, photoblogs.org needs your help. Please consider donating a little bit of money as it's a wonderful resource and run by some great people. Today and yesterday's post was from the same event. The city of Houston has a big fireworks display for 4th of July where they close Allen Parkway and fill it with vendors as well as various bands. Last year the headliner happened to be The Judds - which explains the jumbotron from yesterday. It's not my kind of music but the crowd seemed to enjoy themselves. The people watching was interesting and I was really digging the abundance of funnel cake. Trust me, there is nothing better than freshly fried funnel cake with a big dusting of powdered sugar. Man, I'm drooling already :P |
