Atlantic City, NJ.

A major part of the Atlantic City/Philly trip was to visit my friend Mike but a bonus part was that it was also a culinary tour of the surrounding area beyond just eating at fabulous places like Morimoto's.

One of the things I had to cross off my list was scrapple, which is this concoction of pork scraps molded into a loaf shape, sliced and then deep fried. We found it in this diner and now that I've had it, I've found out that it's not something I'll crave anytime soon. Maple syrup seemed to help although Jim tells me that's a big no no in the Yankee dining book, apparently ketchup is the way to go. Anyway, way too much liver taste for me.

Pepper Pot Soup was also on my list but sadly was very hard to find. Oh well, better luck and research for the next trip :)
