Ok, so I know I said I was going to post lomo pictures today but this post was a special request.

I was in Philly a couple weekends ago and managed to score a dinner slot at Morimoto's. For those who have no idea who he is, Morimoto is one of the star chefs of Iron Chef - both the Japanese version and the American series shown on Food TV. It's a show where chefs have 1 hour to prepare several dishes with a random secret ingredient that was just announced during the beginning of that hour. They serve a panel of judges and compete on taste, looks and creativity.

Being the fan girl that I am, I was even more psyched that we were lucky enough to meet him and score some autographed menus. He seemed awfully nice. The restaurant decor was neat, very sea themed and wavy with color revolving walls (although what's with the vibrator looking lamps, yo?). The food was excellent.

Would I go again? Most definitely.

Anyway, there's been several requests from Kris, Jim and K for the tasting menu we went through. So here it is (hover over the pictures for the description).

Next food related adventures I expect to scratch off my list is something cool like meeting Nigella Lawson and getting myself a slot at the French Laundry. One can always hope, right Ian?

Oh and by the way, I turn a whopping 27 today :)
