Ingredients Ingredients:
- 1 cup rice, preferably leftover rice as this is a breakfast dish that re-uses last night's rice
- 1/2 cup chopped onion, traditionally red onion. You could use whatever you have.
- 3 cloves garlic, crushed and chopped
- 3 red chillies, sliced thin
- 1 tbs salty soy sauce (The Indonesian brand is called kecap ABC)
- 1 tbs sweet soya sauce
- 3 tbs oil
- salt and pepper
- a handful of sliced spring onion and fried shallots
- 1 egg
- chicken, shrimp or any other meat (optional)
